The project was to upscale existing student housing ,retrofitting and refurbishing properties to create pleasing and comfortable living spaces for students. We ought to set a design standard that can be replicated in hostels pan-India. Biggest challenge being the low cost and extremely stringent time-line.

The vision was to change the dull dingy hostel rooms, to positive inspiring spaces, that provide comfort and joy. The practical needs of a student were not ignored-storage under the bed for luggage, hooks on the bed side shelve to hang their bags/clothes, storage for books, pin-boards for notes, everything was taken care of.

We created three modules, Twisty teal/ Lemony lime/Yellow mellow, differentiating in color scheme and furniture design. Two were gender neutral, while one was designed for an all girls hostel.
